2 Minute DIY Baby Headband
I’m a big fan of baby headbands. Baby G doesn’t wear them around the house much, but usually has one on when we’re out and about. Her hair is still too short for clips or barrettes, so headbands are the perfect option for dressing up an ordinary onesie, or pulling an outfit together. We have a collection of bands and various flower and bow clips that we attach to them, as well as some headbands with flowers and bows attached. Now, Baby G will also have some custom handmade headbands to add to the mix!
The weekend of July 4th, Baby G was dressed in an adorable blue onesie and red, white and blue shorts. When I went to get the finishing touch, her white headband, I noticed it wasn’t in its usual spot. Remembering that she had worn it the previous day while we were out, I assumed I had taken it off and slipped it into her diaper bag. When I didn’t find it there, I checked my purse. Still no luck. I looked all around the house, but it was nowhere to be found.
I had about ten minutes to spare before we had to leave the house, so I grabbed an old T-shirt, some scissors, and my laptop. I hastily pulled up a tutorial for how to make a turban baby headband, but found that it required measuring the material with precise measurements. I knew I didn’t have time for that, and attempted to just wing it. The result was disastrous. I tried searching for other baby headband tutorials, but each one that I viewed required more time than I had. I now had less than five minutes to spare.
I took some strips of material and quickly fashioned this headband:
Not only did it take less than 2 minutes to make, but Baby G got a compliment on her baby headband later that day! I’m looking forward to making more of these simple DIY baby headbands using different colors.
