Happy 6 Months Baby G!Half a year! Oh my sweet girl, it’s amazing how much fuller our lives are now that you’re a part of it. The past six months have been full of so much joy; I am continually thankful to have the blessing of being your mother. It’s so much fun to see you personality emerge more and more each day.

During month five:
You started to lose interest in familiar toys and became fascinated with anything new. A wooden spoon became your new favorite toy for a while (Day 165) , until that got old too.

You started solids! (Day 164) We started with avocado. You ate 1 tsp the first day, and by day three were eating 3 TBS. You also tried sweet potatoes and prunes.

You learned to blow raspberries and spent a few days happily blowing them throughout the day.

You began to sit up more; though you could only sit for a couple of seconds without support.

You became a champ at rolling over. You no longer got upset when you accidentally rolled to your tummy while playing in your crib because you knew you could roll back if you tried hard enough.

You began to start fussing if we walked too far away from you.

You started to prefer being put in your crib to fall asleep and no longer wanted to be rocked to sleep.

You began to stand while holding onto something, rather than being held up (Day 179). You’re still learning that letting go of what you’re holding onto causes you to fall over.

You visited your first pumpkin patch! (Day 180)
